Smarter than Axis, riskier than Risk.  Alliance of Powers delivers when it comes to options.  The ever changing landscape during set-up made each game unique, and the ebb and flow of battle kept me rethinking my strategies.  Negotiations play a big part in this game, so the clashing and collaboration of personalities created some memorable game moments for us.  I had long left war-themed table games, but Alliance of Powers brought it back for me.

Alliance of Powers is an innovative war game that rewards the player with rich, engrossing gameplay that remains competitive the whole way through.  Even as the balance of power shifts, no one player ever becomes an untouchable force.  Each player always feels engaged, whether on the winning or losing side of a battle.

The numerous objects beyond simple territorial expansion also keep the game fresh and interesting every time.  Diplomacy feels built in much more than in some other games; with resources to manage and special goals to attain, players stand to gain more than mere non-aggression policies by allying with each other, adding further layers of complexity and intrigue in their dealings with one another.

With an accessible set of rules and mechanics, I heartily recommend Alliance of Powers to gamers of any sort!

I loved Alliance of Powers since the first time I played it. Since purchasing a copy, I've introduced it to my friends, and we always had a great time playing together. After playing The Alliance of Powers, now Risk and Axis & Allies seem boring and predictable. This game is different every time you play, and it's always an exciting ride! It's easy enough for a 10-year old to understand the basics, yet there are a variety of features to keep you on the edge of your seat about what will happen next and give the game another twist!
